The preliminary scientific programme of the Eurasian Orthopedic Forum (EOF) to be held on 28-29 June 2019 in Moscow, has been approved. This year, the organizing committee focuses on issues related to innovative, minimally invasive and most economically efficient technologies and their use by doctors, as well as on the implementation of a multidisciplinary approach to treating diseases of the trauma and orthopedic profile. The programme contains 16 blocks: 12 dedicated sections, 3 major congresses of international importance and a unique educational course on foot and ankle surgery. Certification of the EOF scientific events under the system of continuing medical education (CME) has been planned, as well.
Among the key events of the EOF is the first Russian International Congress Biobridge Russia Ortho 2019 to be held within the Cell Technologies in Orthopedics and Traumatology section. The congress will highlight the results of scientific research on the use of biological technologies for tissue replacement or regeneration in the treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Besides, the BRICS Spine Summit International Vertebral Congress will be held as part of the forum; among the issues to be discussed are those related to medical work in BRICS countries and current-day challenges of spinal surgery at the intersection of traumatology and orthopedics and neurosurgery. The best lecturers and experts of international acclaim will share their expertise in treating injuries and diseases of the spine, as well as personally hold workshops and symposia.
At the Congress of the Russian Arthroscopic Society, the world's leading manufacturers will present their cutting-edge products related to arthroscopy of large and small joints. At the congress sessions, the attendants will see the best achievements of the European, North American and Asian schools of arthroscopy.

EOF participants will also take part in an extensive scientific programme of dedicated sections. A symposium of the International Osteosynthesis Association AOTrauma will be held as part of the section on the treatment of lower limb injuries. Other sections will present the best practices in knee and hip arthroplasty, reconstructive and reparative and plastic surgery, children's traumatology and orthopedics, cancer orthopedics, disaster medicine, treatment of gunshot injuries of the musculoskeletal system, and potential of 3D technologies. Important aspects of the multidisciplinary approach will be discussed at the anesthesiology-resuscitation and comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation sections.
